FAQ

Do you have an age requirement for classes?

Many people wonder if they can bring their young kids in to do a class. We don't put a strict age restriction, and we believe it is up to the parents. Our shop is filled with real tools, many are plugged in. If your child can follow instructions and be trusted around power tools, they are more than welcome to take our class.

What's O.W.L.?

O.W.L stands for the "Overocker Wood-Turning League". After taking your first wood turning class, you are automatically eligible to join OWL. Being a part of OWL gives you a discount to select wood turning classes (pens, gnomes, spurtles, ornaments, etc.) for the remainder of that year. At the end of the year, all members of OWL get reset and start up again after your first class of the new year.

Is Overocker Woodworking Handicap Accessible?

Our workshop itself is Handicap friendly, but most of our workshops require standing for long periods of time.

Is your workshop pet-friendly?

No, because we work with the use of power tools, it is unsafe to have any animals around. If you have a service animal, please contact us so we can make your class as safe as possible for you and your companion.
